Levelninesports.com Composite Ski Poles Reviews
Average Rating: (20 reviews)

"The custom Level Nine Sports poles are incredibly durable, and more importantly, incredibly handsome. The shaft is a composite material, so its a much longer life than the fragile aluminum poles. And when people ask 'Where can people go to buy those awesome poles,' the answer is pretty obvious."

Good poles great price
By thedrew55 from Wasatch on 06/04/2011
Pros: Velcro strap is easily adjustable, price is right, lighter than the cheap poles I usually buy
Cons: Really flexible (if you prefer stiff poles)
I only skied with these one day, but they got the job done for a great price. I really don't see the point in buying poles for more than $50, so these fit me perfect. They have a relatively low swing weight for a pole at this price and the composite material felt like it would take a beating. They were really, really springy, I just wasn't used to it because my last pair of poles were aluminum, so I probably just need to get used to it. The velcro adjustable straps are really nice too. One thing I really like about these is they are pretty much blank, so if you want to add some crazy graphics, you can. If you just want a standard looking pole, you've got it.
perfect for me

Pros: 2 baskets

Steady and Solid Feel
By Jack from Corrales, NM on 04/17/2011
Pros: Steady, Sturdy, Good Feel
Cons: None
These poles just seemed rock solid from day one. Grips in icy conditions, straps are big enough to get gloves in without having to stop on your way off the lift. They just keep working for me all the time.
BIg Value...Little Price
By Snowman from WV on 04/14/2011
Pros: Cheap/ Sturdy
I love these poles, My kids and I are new to skiing and we abuse these pretty hard. They hold up great, even when the fat man is getting up off the snow after falling again. I would recommend these to anyone.
Solid poles at an awesome price
By Bomber from California on 04/13/2011
Pros: Indestructable, like an A-10 Warthog
Cons: Heavy, like an A-10 Warthog
These are the poles you want if you are tired of breaking lighter, more expensive poles. The Royal Shaft grips and straps feel like you're flying a tank-killing fighter-bomber, the shafts are dependable in steep and technical situations, and the overbuilt baskets and tips punch through ice and avalanche debris like the armor piercing shells they resemble. On the downside, I had never understood the meaning of "swing weight" until using these poles. There's not much question as to where that durability comes from: lots of heavy reinforced composite fiberglass. I got mine a few inches long for long skates out of the sidecountry. Over all, this is a solid, dependable tool for those who abuse their gear and expect it to function perfectly under any conditions.
Was a great surprise

Pros: quality
Cons: none
Believe it! there are some very nice people at Level Nine, when I placed an order for my daughter and mentioned that we needed for the Nastar Nationals they processed the order promptly and sent us the poles at no charge. They also included a note wishing her the best....must have worked. 2nd place in the 13-14 yr old gold competition aint bad! thanks!

Pros: in-expensive ski pole!
Cons: Maybe a tad heavey compared to an aluminum pole
Stoked on the Level9 poles! It allows me to get one of each size i need. I use short poles for skiing in the terrain park and I use larger poles for touring and skiing powder! Another bonus is that these poles come with both powder baskets and trail baskets! perfect! These poles are also a bit flexible so instead of bending like a metal pole they just flex back to straight!
I Skied Better?
By Emily from Corrales, NM on 04/03/2011
Pros: Grips the ice, Straps are great
Cons: Hmmmm, well none!
Seemed heavy in the hands at first. However, being somewhat lazy about my hands at my waist, I now know where they are at all times. My skiing actually improved in all conditions in one day with much improved form. Nice!

Pros: great product for a greater price with the greatest logo
Cons: none
light, supermaterial mix, stays the same (unlike pure aluminium of older days), skinny, comfy straps adjustable in seconds, very functional classic grips/handle, powder and slope variable product interface standard, great price, easy to get more than one size,

Poles Good for Value
By CJ on 03/27/2011
Pros: Low cost
Cons: Straps not the most convenient
These poles are good poles for the cost. I liked the velcro straps for changing the looping around your hands, but the straps aren't always the most convenioent.
Great ski poles
By Steve from Oak Park, IL on 03/26/2011
Pros: Light, sturdy, easy to us straps
Cons: Color is more cream than actual white
Love these poles. Great performance at a great price.
Great Pole and Value
By Buscarelli from Michigan on 03/25/2011
Pros: Light and durable
Cons: non
Good value for the money. My son uses them in the park and they have survived quite well. His old metal poles needed to be straightened every weekend. These poles are tough!
Very nice!
By Snowbunny on 03/25/2011
Pros: Comfortable handles, nice material, seem solid
Cons: wrist strap is a bit uncomfortable
Overall, these poles are great. They are a bit heavier than some, but that is fine by me, as they are also stronger. The handle is comfortable as well. The only complaint I have is that the strap sometimes scratches my hand, but it can be taken off if you want.
Great poles
By Roger from North Carolina on 03/25/2011
Pros: lightweight and flexible
Cons: Wrist strap
great poles but wrist strap has about 2" strip of velcro that makes it more difficult to slide glove through. not a fan of the break away wrist strap. I guess it comes down to personal likes.
Great value
By Eastern skier from Dillsburg, PA on 03/24/2011
Pros: great price, durable, functional
Cons: Plain look
great, well weighted pole. For the value, the only thing that could make this better is some sort of graphic to go with the L9.com writing.
Tough Stuff!
By Cutback on 03/24/2011
Great price! Great poles! Virtually indestructable.
More than just a great price
By [RV]erified User #135447 Paul from Michigan on 03/02/2011
Pros: Durable
Cons: Only two colors
My son dropped one of his poles from the chair lift just in time for a snowboarder to come off a jump and skid to a stop on it. We skied down and picked it up and could hardly tell. I think if this was one of the "bargain" aluminum poles out there it would have either been trashed or looking rather ugly. Thanks guys for a quality product.
Excellent Poles
By Davidp from Hiawassee Ga on 12/30/2010
Pros: Nice, great looking, all the pole anyone needs.
Cons: Nothing
I received 2 sets today. A white pair for my wife and a black pair for me. I didn't think they would be as nice as they are. When I opened the box and pulled them out, all I could say was WOW. Very nice poles. The price is great. Buy a set. You wont be disappointed!!!
