I got the Big Heats at the tail end of last season, and had the opportunity to use them in just about every condition. Powder... well, they're not really for that. I managed though. Crud, they're fantastic. Blast right through it. And the groomers... oh yeah- the groomers. If you like carving big, wide, fast turns at 50mph, you really need to get these skis immediately. But it depends on what you're used to and how you like to ski. You have to drive these skis hard. They need authoritative input. Skiing on these is a far cry from the rockers that just twitch from edge to edge. These skis are heavy and stiff, and they hold a line beautifully. They shine on big high-speed S-turns, and they'll hold their own in tighter slalom or mogul type skiing, but again you have to drive them hard. A great, well-made ski from Austria at a fantastic price.
