Head 06/07 Monster i.M 77 Skis w/bindings Reviews
Average Rating: (14 reviews)

"This is a very popular choice for advanced and expert skiers looking for a durable all mountain ski. Loaded with technology from Head's R&D department, these skis perform excellently in all conditions. The 77mm waist is enough to float in powder, yet is quick enough from one turn to the next to make it a powerhouse on the groomers as well. This unbelievable deal is hard to beat. We can even offer matching poles!"

Great Ski
By Mike from Massachusetts on 05/22/2011
Pros: Great All Mountain Ski
Cons: That there all sold out
I mainly ski the east and I loved these except for the edge chatter sometimes at high speeds when trying to set an edge. I took them out west for a week and they were great in the powder.
Powder&Groom Tested
By Junior Extreme from Western Canada on 05/17/2011
Pros: Stiff and fat enough
Cons: Color
Preformed well in mostly groomed/light powder, but had a bit of opportunity to try the in some knee deep and they were great. Good value for the level of performance.
Great Skis For the Money!
By Snow Devil from Western Canada on 04/18/2011
Pros: Snake skin top sheet looks rad. and helps hide potential scratches.
I purchased these ski because of their outstanding value. Having skied them a number of days, on a variety of runs and I am very pleased with their performance. I also picked up matching Royal Shaft poles which are strong and light.
Head Monster i.M 77 181 cm
By cneau on 04/17/2011
Pros: Great ski for all east coast conditions
Cons: wondering how it would handle deep west powder
I bought these for my son who is 6'4" and 190 and he loved them. He pushed them at speed and found them stable and able to carve. He also loved how they felt landing after going off headwalls.
GREAT DEAL
By BK from MA on 04/12/2011
Pros: Stable at any speed
Cons: None found yet
Great deal on these skis, shipping was quick and the skis performed as avertised. Can't find a speed where the skis will chatter, very stable and quiet. Skis a lot like a GS race ski, just fatter and more fun in the crud
L9 Q&A
By L9 CS Team on 10/16/2010
Skis this nice with high end bindings are supposed to cost a lot more than this but we won't tell if you won't. This upper intermediate to expert ski can handle it all! If you have questions, ask Level 9 here.
These boards rock!
By rockit dave on 08/07/2010
Picked these up to replace my Salomons, initialy seemed slow to turn in, but after a few days in all sorts of conditions and terain these boards rock! Total crud busters ,they are not my pow skis but perform well if put to the task. High speed handeling awesome the extra weight really helps stability. This is a great ski for all mountain thrashing.
My colection
190 poontoons
180 crossmax
177 monsters 77

This lot covers all conditions including rocks!
Impressive
By Buco on 02/17/2010
WOW! I still have to give these a proper chance to show everything they can do for me but after a few trips to some midwest hills these really impressed me. At speed on steeper parts these just wanna go faster. Incredibly stable at speed. Great bite on ice. Went over some heavy curd with ease. Tried moguls and got my but kicked but that's me more then skis. Hopefully I'll get to test them on powder out west soon. Just great skis, I can do everything better on the snow with them then my old Atomics.
Like a champ
By Jackson on 12/28/2009
awesome they even float fairly good in about 2 foot pow! and then go strait to the groomers and ice and hold like a champ. they carve not to bad either
Powerful
By Skiing Buyers Guide '06 on 10/20/2009
Powerful and stable in big fast arcs, the Monster's stiff tail lends a snappy finish to turns, it also handles heavy curd with ease. Skiing 2006
Great Buy!
By Brad on 09/17/2009
I am not a techy when it comes to skis, but I really love the feel of these skis. They carve great and are quite aggressive, I am going to have to practice up to be equal to their potential. Great Buy!
great price!
By Mike on 08/29/2009
I purchased these and used them last season. Great skis at great price. Great in varying conditions. For a one ski skier, an incredible value.
powerful
By L9 Rich on 04/11/2009
Very powerful ski, it carves at high speeds as well as most anything. If you like to ski powder quite a bit you may want to look for something a little fatter like the Mojo 90 as the 77 isnt wide enough for real Utah powder days.
great deal!

The i.M 77s are obviously one of the best deals on our website. I target these skis to advanced-expert eastern skiers who are off-piste a lot back East, as well as Western experts who want a do-everything, go-anywhere ski. Ice, groomed, moguls, crud, even some powder, the 77s will slay. One thing to note: this is not a 'powder' ski, so Rocky Mountain skiers (the Sierra Nevadas and Cascades don't really get powder) looking to crush it in the waist deep pow should look for something lighter and fatter and softer. Like perhaps something from the Icelantic arsenal, I'm thinking Nomad or Shaman.
